What happens when a new baby comes?
We are all so excited to celebrate the birth of a new child in our family. Mom is treated to baby showers. The new baby is honored at christenings and visits from aunts, uncles, and grandparents. There is also the confusion at home with Mom and Dad keeping odd hours dealing with a baby crying in the night.
What about the other children in the family? Are they feeling replaced? Are they feeling left out? They need to know they are still important and still very loved. One way to express that love, in the midst of giving baby gifts, is to have special gifts for the older children as well.
I have some very special T-shirts perfect for recognizing the older sister or brother status. I have shirts that say "I’m the big sister", "I’m the big brother", and even ones that say "I’m the middle sister!" You know how important each child is to you, make sure they know it too. These T-shirts are preshrunk, 100% cotton and made in the United States. They come in sizes from x-small to x-large and are available in pink, blue and white. Soon you will be able to order directly from my new site at http://www.personalizedkidsgifts.us . In the meantime, if you go to that address you can drop me a line. I’ll rush some T-shirts out to you in time for the big day.
Below you will see Katie, my niece, in the big sister T-shirt and Nicholas, her friend, in the little brother T-shirt. Katie is also wearing one of my hair scrunchies and holding a doll that also says “I’m the big sister.”
Enjoy the new baby, and do something special for the older ones too.
Loving the kids,
Kim
