How Important is ‘Cool’?

This is my niece Katie. As you can see she has moved from little girl to fiesty pre-teen! Well, she has always been fiesty but she is growing older as all kids do.

But, she has reached the age that being ‘cool’ is really important. It is all part of that growing up phase of figuring out how to fit in and figuring out how to be different.

As a parent you may be struggling with these changes as much as your kids are. When they were infants you may have been hurt when they didn’t want to be held and cuddled. When they learned to walk you may have felt panic when you didn’t know where they had walked off to. And of course running came way too quick after walking.
